Better leverage the educational function of museums

In Jiangxi, the Jingdezhen China Ceramic Museum has established a museum school cooperation mechanism with more than 20 schools. The social education staff of the museum visit the school every week to carry out a series of ceramic culture classes, systematically introducing the development history of Jingdezhen ceramics, integrating education with entertainment, allowing students to experience and feel the charm of ceramic culture firsthand; In Tianjin, the Tianjin Museum combines its rich collection resources and fully leverages the educational function and strength of museums to offer "ideological and political courses" for students; In Sichuan, the Chengdu Museum has innovatively opened the "Weekend Children's Museum", designing courses and activities based on children's cognitive characteristics, allowing them to have fun and stimulating their cultural confidence deep inside. Cultural relics carry splendid civilization, inherit historical and cultural heritage, and maintain national spirit, which are precious legacies left to us by our ancestors. Museums are not only places for displaying cultural relics, but also places for interpreting the meaning and value of cultural relics, carrying important functions of social education. During this year's National People's Congress and Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, how to continue the "museum fever", continuously strengthen the protection and utilization of cultural heritage, and better meet people's spiritual and cultural needs has become a topic of great concern. A museum is a big school. In 1905, when Zhang Jian founded the Nantong Museum, he proposed the purpose of "establishing a Xiangxu School for teaching and learning more about the names of birds, animals, plants, and trees", advocating that museums, like libraries, are the backbone of school education. And this is also the first museum in modern China founded by Chinese people. The current Regulations on Museums in our country also clearly state that museums are organizations that collect, protect, and showcase witnesses of human activities and the natural environment to the public for the purpose of education, research, and appreciation, highlighting the educational significance of museums. Generally speaking, museums have three major functions: collection, research, and education. If collections are the heart of museums, then education is the soul of museums, and collection and research serve education as their purpose. Fully exploring, utilizing, and leveraging the educational function of museums is a major article that we must write well. Strengthen research and interpretation, deeply explore the profound cultural heritage contained in cultural relics collections, and transform rich museum resources into valuable educational resources. People visit museums not only to check in and watch the excitement, but also to gain knowledge from cultural relics, receive cultural influence, trigger rational thinking, and enrich their inner world. The cultural relics in museums give people an intuitive and authentic feeling, which is the difference between museum education and school education. To truly realize the educational significance of cultural relics collections, it is not only necessary to examine their history, but also to deeply explore the spiritual connotations contained within them, demonstrate the principles, philosophies, and values hidden within them, and showcase the unique spiritual world and aesthetics of the Chinese people deeply embedded in them, playing a value leading role for visitors, especially young people. Emphasize the revitalization and utilization, establish an audience centered exhibition and display concept, make good use of technological means, and incorporate education into entertainment. The visitors entering the museum are not the "spectators" who are beautifully explained, but the "cultural relics users" who can observe, experience, think, and practice around the cultural relics collection. When planning exhibitions and displaying cultural relics, it is necessary to fully consider the characteristics of the public and the needs of education, adhere to crowdsourcing, pay attention to experiential experience
