Recently, the Shenzhen Procuratorate and the Zhongshan Procuratorate of Guangdong Province jointly signed the Cooperation Agreement on Strengthening the Integration and Development of Regional Prosecutorial Collaborative Services (hereinafter referred to as the "Agreement"), building a procuratorial collaboration mechanism to jointly serve the integration and development of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area. It is understood that the entire Shenzhen China Channel will be completed and opened to traffic this year, and exchanges between the two regions will be further strengthened. The role of working together to promote the construction of the Guangdong Hong Kong Macao Greater Bay Area will be more prominent. To this end, the procuratorial organs of the two regions cooperate to explore cross regional procuratorial cooperation models. Based on the previous cooperation, they focus on optimizing the business environment, protecting intellectual property innovation, safeguarding green ecology, deepening social governance, and ensuring social livelihood in key areas, and make regulations on the scope of cooperation, work procedures, and contact mechanisms. The agreement proposes to strengthen the legal protection in key areas, establish and improve a joint handling mechanism for cross regional criminal cases and a notification mechanism for relevant job-related crime clues of judicial staff in both regions, coordinate and deepen the crackdown on organized crime, strengthen cooperation between maritime and cross-border smuggling prosecutors, and jointly crack down on cross regional drug crimes, and jointly carry out risk and hidden danger investigation and conflict resolution work in the prosecution process. Establish a working mechanism for information sharing, notification, reminder, and inquiry of enterprise related cases between the two regions, promote cross regional cooperation in community correction, procuratorial supervision, and cross regional and cross departmental intellectual property protection, and explore cross regional compliance linkage mechanisms for enterprises involved in cases. Establish and improve mechanisms for financial prosecution, legal policy coordination, and judicial cooperation between the two regions. Establish and improve a collaborative response mechanism for sudden major environmental pollution incidents, jointly crack down on cross regional crimes that damage the ecological environment, and deepen the integration of public interest litigation and prosecution in both regions to fulfill their duties.
