In order to celebrate the Iranian New Year, promote people to people and cultural exchanges between China and Iran, and help the two countries continue to move towards a win-win future under the "the Belt and Road" initiative, the Iranian Consulate General in Guangzhou held a celebration in Guangdong on March 21. Consuls General and representatives from the Consulates General of Iran, Malaysia, Uzbekistan and other countries in Guangzhou, as well as individuals from various fields such as economy, trade, and culture, as well as Iranian groups living in Guangdong, attended the event. At the beginning of the event, Ahmad Gholamipour, Economic Consul of the Consulate General of Iran in Guangzhou, warmly welcomed all the guests and wished them all happiness and joy in the new year. Subsequently, Iranian Consul General in Guangzhou, Hosseinali Darrishi Motevalli, delivered a speech. He stated that the Iranian people, who work and live in southern China, play an important role in strengthening China Iran trade relations. At the same time, he hopes that people from all walks of life at home and abroad will actively participate in the 6th Iran Export Potential Exhibition to be held in Tehran in April this year, deepening China Iran cooperation and friendship. March 20th this year is the most important holiday of the year for Iranians, known as the Iranian New Year (also known as the "Noruz Festival"), and it is also one of the 24 solar terms in China, the Spring Equinox, symbolizing the beginning and rebirth. During the event, Consul General Daresi told Xinhua that this year's Iranian New Year celebration will start on March 20th and will last for two weeks. At the celebration dinner, Chinese and Iranian guests gathered together, singing and dancing, and sharing their friendship, celebrating the spring that represents growth and hope. The scene was filled with a joyful and peaceful atmosphere. In recent years, China and Iran have also cooperated multiple times to hold a series of "Happy Spring Festival" activities during the Chinese Lunar New Year, which have been well received by local people. All of this demonstrates the emotional bond of harmonious blind dates between the Chinese and Iranian people, and has become a beautiful microcosm of the increasingly close connection and continuous progress of China Iran relations towards the future. Let us look forward to further continuing traditional friendship and strengthening bilateral cooperation between China and Iran, and continuing to contribute to the well-being of the two peoples and world peace and prosperity.
