According to the website of the National Medical Products Administration, the 2024 National Cosmetic Supervision and Administration Work Conference was held in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province from March 19th to 20th. The meeting stressed that it is necessary to accurately understand the current cosmetics regulatory situation, comprehensively grasp the current cosmetics regulatory direction, adhere to political leadership, and be a contributor to Chinese path to modernization; Adhere to the principle of putting the people first and be the guardian of people's safe makeup use; Adhere to long-term principles and be a promoter of high-quality industrial development; Adhere to precise policy implementation and become practitioners of scientific supervision. We must conscientiously implement the "four strictest" requirements, follow the work philosophy of "emphasizing politics, strengthening supervision, ensuring safety, promoting development, and benefiting people's livelihood", improve the cosmetics regulatory system, build a cosmetics technology support system, continuously strengthen the construction of cosmetics regulatory capacity, effectively ensure the safety of public use of cosmetics, and promote the high-quality development of the cosmetics industry. The conference has deployed five key tasks for the supervision of cosmetics in 2024: strengthening the construction of cosmetics supervision capacity, and improving the regulatory system for cosmetics supervision; Utilize various means comprehensively to enhance the regulatory and safety protection capabilities of cosmetics; Continuously innovating management systems to promote high-quality development of the cosmetics industry; Provide guidance services and promote the smooth implementation of the cosmetic safety assessment system; Highlight the political nature and coordinate the construction of the cosmetics regulatory team.
