On March 16th, a symposium on the promulgation of the new Company Law was held in Beijing, with the theme of "Institutional Innovation and Implementation Prospects of the New Company Law". The conference is hosted by the Commercial Law Research Association of the China Law Society, hosted by the Commercial Law Research Center of the China University of Political Science and Law, and co organized by Beijing Weiheng Law Firm and Shanghai Lixing Education Technology Co., Ltd. (Zhishiwang). The opening ceremony was presided over by Zhao Xudong, President of the Commercial Law Research Association of the China Law Society and Professor of China University of Political Science and Law. Wang Ruihe, Vice Chairman of the Legal Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, and Liu Guixiang, Deputy Ministerial level Full time Member of the Judicial Committee of the Supreme People's Court, attended and delivered speeches. The conference consists of four units, with over 40 experts and scholars giving keynote speeches on topics such as "Corporate Capital and Registration System", "Shareholders, Equity, Equity Transfer and Equity Structure", "Corporate Governance One: Organizational Structure and Conflict of Interest Governance", and "Corporate Governance Two: Directors, Supervisors, and High Fidelity Obligations". They also had in-depth exchanges and discussions with the attending experts. Leaders and experts from the Legal Work Committee of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, the Supreme People's Court, the Supreme People's Procuratorate, the State Administration for Market Regulation, the State owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, and the China Securities Regulatory Commission, as well as experts and scholars from research institutions such as the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, and China University of Political Science and Law, Representatives from well-known enterprises such as CITIC Securities Co., Ltd. and JD Group, as well as representatives from the legal practice field and the media industry, attended the meeting. More than 180 representatives attended the conference offline and provided a full live broadcast to people from all walks of life through the internet.
