The 2024 London Book Fair opened in London, UK on the 12th, attracting widespread attention to high-quality Chinese books and encouraging the results of Sino foreign publishing cooperation. More than 50 domestic publishing and distribution units, as well as book import and export companies, including China Publishing Group, People's Publishing House, Wuzhou Communication Publishing House, China Book Import and Export (Group) Co., Ltd., and China International Book Trade Group Co., Ltd., participated in the exhibition and planned more than 30 events. Chinese publishing units also organize well-known domestic writers and scholars to participate in exhibitions and engage in in-depth interaction with writers and scholars from various countries; Display a group of books focusing on green, low-carbon, and artificial intelligence, and use technologies such as AI, VR, and metaverse to showcase China's excellent publishing achievements. On the opening day, activities such as the premiere of the English versions of "China Development Report 2023" and "Global Development Report 2023", the "Global Sharing and Dissemination of Chinese Academic" publishing forum and the "Chinese Perspective" series of new books, the premiere of the English version of "Being Happy Ordinary People - Stories of Centennial Vocational Schools" and the signing ceremony for international publishing cooperation, as well as the new book launch event of "Dunhuang Boutique (British Museum) in the Sutra Cave" attracted many viewers. Taylor Francis Publishing Group's Global Book Business President, Bai Jinli, told Xinhua News Agency that the group has long-term cooperation with Chinese publishing institutions, using high-quality publishing content and information to benefit more people. He believes that the global academic field not only requires the insights of Western scholars, but also research and ideas directly from China, and international publishing cooperation can help. The London Book Fair began in 1971 and is one of the most important events in the global publishing industry.
