On the 7th, Indonesia's largest telecommunications operator, Indonesia Telecom, and Huawei Indonesia held the opening ceremony of the country's first 5G smart warehouse and 5G innovation center in the capital Jakarta. According to data from the Indonesian Ministry of Development and Planning, logistics costs in Indonesia accounted for a high proportion of 14.29% of GDP in 2023. 5G smart warehouses utilize advanced technologies such as the Internet of Things and big data to improve operational efficiency and help reduce logistics costs. At the ceremony, Ismail, Director General of the Indonesian Ministry of Communications, stated that 5G will accelerate the development of Indonesia's digital economy, and Indonesia is committed to promoting digital transformation in various industries based on 5G technology. The completion of the 5G smart warehouse and 5G innovation center represents an important step for Indonesia's digital transformation. Huawei Indonesia CEO Guo Hailong stated that Huawei is committed to helping the Indonesian government and industry partners seize opportunities for digital transformation.
