This year's government work report specifically discusses "enriching the spiritual and cultural life of the people.". I believe that promoting the improvement and upgrading of public cultural services is one of the key measures to continuously meet the spiritual and cultural needs of the people. Taking museums in Jiangxi as an example, the total number of visitors to Jiangxi Provincial Museums exceeded 57 million in 2023, setting a new historical high. The Jiangxi Provincial Museum, Jingdezhen Chinese Ceramic Museum, Jinggangshan Revolutionary Museum, and others have successively become "popular check-in points" and "popular tourist destinations". The long-standing and brilliant Ganpo culture shines brightly in cultural and museum venues. The popularity of museums is one of the epitomes of improving the quality and efficiency of public cultural services. In recent years, we have vigorously promoted the construction of a modern public cultural service system, innovatively implemented cultural welfare projects, and strived to provide the people with higher quality, more efficient, fairer, and more sustainable public cultural services. How to further empower a better life with culture? I think we can continue to strengthen our work in the following areas: firstly, in terms of policy guarantees, we should increase funding and promote the free opening of museums, memorial halls, public libraries, art galleries, and cultural centers (stations). Public cultural services can only play a more positive role by increasing public participation and recognition. Secondly, in terms of facility construction, we should continue to increase the coverage of comprehensive cultural service centers in villages (communities). We also need to revitalize and utilize rural cultural resources such as ancient buildings, ancestral halls, and ancient theaters, and build new cultural and tourism consumption scenes that share the style of rural areas in the new era. By constructing new and beautiful public cultural spaces such as urban study rooms and cultural stations, people can more conveniently enjoy cultural services around them. Finally, in terms of service supply, efforts can be increased to carry out mass cultural activities, such as the Four Seasons Village Evening, square dance, and the People's Grand Stage, to make mass cultural activities a unique cultural landscape. In addition, we will focus on the deep integration of culture and tourism, and promote the two-way development of public culture and tourism industry. On the one hand, we are committed to enhancing the tourism function of public cultural facilities and creating a number of "new tourism landmarks" with cultural venues as the core. On the other hand, we will continuously enrich the public cultural service content of scenic spots, historical blocks, vacation areas, and commercial districts, and build the "three zones and one circle" into a new space for guests to share a beautiful life. At present, the subsidy standards for free opening of public cultural venues are generally low, which can no longer meet the demand for high-quality development of public cultural services. Therefore, I suggest raising the relevant funding standards in a timely manner. Next, we will strive to create an upgraded version of the public cultural service system, so that public cultural services can truly reach the people, enter their lives, and enter their hearts.
