The opening ceremony of the China Pavilion of the 40th Panama International Trade Expo was held on the 5th at the Panama Convention and Exhibition Center. More than 600 companies from over 20 countries and regions participated in this exhibition, with over 100 Chinese exhibitors exhibiting, ranking first in terms of exhibition group size. The Panama International Trade Fair is one of the most important trade exhibitions in Central America and even the entire Latin America region. Chinese exhibitors mainly come from Zhejiang and Guangdong. A total of 55 Zhejiang enterprises participated in this exhibition, covering multiple fields such as textile and clothing, electronic appliances, and hardware and building materials. The Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the Zhejiang Provincial People's Congress and the military civilian said at the opening ceremony that Panama is one of the active economies in Latin America, and Zhejiang is one of the provinces with extremely dynamic economy in China, with huge potential for economic and trade cooperation between the two sides. Counselor Zhou Quan from the Chinese Embassy in Panama stated that in recent years, the level of exchanges and cooperation between China and Pakistan in various fields such as economy, trade, education, and culture has been continuously improving, and the content has become increasingly rich. Each Panama International Trade Expo attracts a large number of Chinese enterprises to participate, and has become a good platform for economic and trade exchanges and cooperation between the two countries. The organizer of the exhibition and former chairman of the Panama Chamber of Agriculture and Industry, Simmons, believes that in recent years, China's economic and trade cooperation with Panama and other Latin American countries has become increasingly close, and China Latin America cooperation has provided important opportunities for the development of small and medium-sized enterprises in Latin America.
