Venezuela will hold presidential elections on July 28th

The Venezuelan National Election Commission announced on the 5th that, after thoroughly studying various proposals, it has decided to hold the presidential election on July 28th of this year. The National Election Commission announced on the same day that voter registration for this presidential election will take place from March 18th to April 16th, and candidate registration will take place from March 21st to March 25th. On February 28th, representatives from 43 political parties and various sectors of society in Venezuela signed an agreement at the Legislative Palace, where the Venezuelan parliament is located, on the principles, conditions, and timing for holding presidential elections this year. On March 1st, the parliament officially submitted the agreement to the election body for review to determine the final election schedule. The ruling Socialist Party of Venezuela has confirmed that current President Maduro will be the party's only candidate for this presidential election, and the opposition party has yet to determine the final list of candidates.
