The collection of couplets written by the calligrapher and painter Fan Zeng, titled "The Collection of Thinking Without Evil - Fan Zeng's Self written Couplets," has been published and distributed. Recently, his new book was released and a seminar was held at the Rongbaozhai Building in Beijing. Mr. Fan Zeng is well versed in both Chinese and Western culture, renowned overseas. His poetry, calligraphy, and painting possess extremely high artistic attainments. This book selects 338 pairs of couplets written by the author at the age of 85, and the collected couplets are classified into four categories: "Poetry expresses one's aspirations", "Ode to the ancients", "Travel to and from scenic spots", and "Learning from literature". There are those who express their own thoughts, those who are engaged in current affairs, those who improvise and sing, and those who think deeply. This book is presented in an 8-page format, with color hardcover printing and a spacious and elegant layout that is pleasing to the eye, allowing readers to see the works of famous artists; Playing the poetry clock against couplets is full of wit and humor, and it is also enjoyable. At the same time, the couplets are accompanied by brief annotations and comments, each with a clear and clear interpretation, with a profound meaning and a lingering charm. On the same day, a seminar was also held on "Poetry and Writing Treasures, Ink and Enlightenment - Rongbaozhai Jiachen Fan Zeng's Poetry, Literature, Calligraphy and Painting". The seminar tasted the style and atmosphere of Fan Zeng's poetry, literature, calligraphy and painting art, and discussed the influence of the aesthetic principles of "returning to classicism and nature" and "using poetry as the soul and books as the bone" on Chinese calligraphy and painting. The attendees believe that Mr. Fan Zeng's works have given us the greatest inspiration, which is the strong classical spirit reflected in his poetry and prose couplets, shining with poetic brilliance. This is something that is particularly lacking in current literary and artistic creation and should be carefully studied. By comparing the writing characteristics and development of several ancient civilizations around the world, Fan Zeng expressed that ideographic Chinese characters are a unique cultural heritage in the world and a powerful language force.
