Teachers are the foundation and source of education, and the engineers of the human soul. Education is the cause of inheriting civilization, and teacher ethics require role models and value guidance. The "New Basic Education Strong Teacher Plan" clearly requires "selecting excellent literary, artistic, and film and television works that reflect the correct value orientation, organizing and guiding normal students and teachers to read and watch, strengthening value guidance, strengthening the education of forging a sense of community for the Chinese nation, and guiding the majority of normal students and teachers to establish and adhere to correct national, historical, ethnic, cultural, and religious views.". Among them, many excellent film and television works are extremely valuable educational resources. They are based on historical educators and shape a large number of exemplary teachers through the art form of biographies. These images contain vivid and ideal beliefs, moral sentiments, educational wisdom, cultivating attitudes, benevolent hearts, and the spirit of educators who pursue preaching. Practice has shown that in the digital age, consciously learning from educators in excellent film and television works, fully utilizing film and television works containing the spirit of educators to carry out teacher education and frontline teacher training, is an effective way to cultivate "great teachers" and "future educators", and build a high-quality teacher team. In film and television works, the core essence of the spirit of educators is comprehensively and profoundly expounded from six aspects: ideal beliefs, moral sentiments, educational wisdom, cultivation attitude, benevolence, and the pursuit of preaching. However, it is difficult to fully internalize and externalize the spirit of educators from a metaphysical perspective. In our view, film and television works that embody the spirit of educators provide a very good answer. Their unique multimodal media characteristics can concretize and imagery the spirit of educators. We can not only "see" the spirit of educators from this, but also take the educators as examples to promote the construction of high-quality teacher teams. In film and television works, the ideal belief of "seeing" a greater self in the heart and sincerely serving the country. In the two films "Hope on Earth" (1949) and "University in Exile" (1985), we see the patriotic spirit of Deng Gengbai, a university professor, and Jiang Weicheng, the president of National Jiangnan Qianjiang University during the Anti Japanese War, who combined education with personal future and the fate of their country, being resilient and unyielding, and fighting against Japan to save the country.
