On the morning of February 28th, Premier Li Qiang met with the American Chamber of Commerce visiting China led by President and CEO Clark at the Great Hall of the People. On the morning of February 28th, Premier Li Qiang met with the American Chamber of Commerce visiting China led by President and CEO Clark at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. 45 years of practice have repeatedly proven that cooperation between China and the United States benefits both sides, while conflict harms both. Cooperation is the only correct choice. Li Qiang pointed out that the economies of China and the United States are highly complementary and their interests are deeply integrated. Both countries benefit from each other's development, and strengthening economic and trade cooperation is a win-win situation for both countries. Both sides should be partners rather than opponents. Engaging in various forms of "decoupling and chain breaking" and "small courtyards and high walls" is not in line with the fundamental interests of both sides, and will only cause huge losses to the enterprises, economy, and even global development of both countries. China is promoting Chinese path to modernization in an all-round way with high-quality development, and will continue to release huge demand in advanced manufacturing, new urbanization, upgrading of consumption structure, green and low-carbon transformation, etc. American enterprises are welcome to continue to invest in China, dig deep into the Chinese market, and share development opportunities together. The door to China's opening up to the outside world will continue to widen, and efforts will be made to create a market-oriented, rule of law, and internationalized first-class business environment, providing more support and convenience for foreign enterprises such as the United States to invest and develop in China. I hope that the American Chamber of Commerce and entrepreneurs can continue to play a bridging role in promoting more communication, exchange, and mutual understanding between the two countries. Clark stated that the US China relationship is extremely important. I am pleased that the two heads of state held a successful meeting in San Francisco, and the relationship between the two countries has shown signs of improvement. Decoupling the US from China is not a feasible option, and we welcome China to further open up. The American Chamber of Commerce is willing to play a bridging role, engage in frank and constructive communication and exchange with China, make efforts to deepen US China economic and trade relations and mutually beneficial cooperation, and promote stable development of US China relations. Wu Zhenglong attended the meeting. (Lai Xin She)
