In order to drive the increase of people's income, in recent years, Yanshan County has targeted idle rural housing resources and introduced a factory planting project for Tremella fuciformis. By transforming idle rural houses into smart home workshops, it has developed the Tremella characteristic planting industry. It is not an easy task to move the silver fungus from the south to the north. In 2020, Yanshan County sought agricultural technology cooperation from multiple universities such as Fujian A&F University and South China University of Technology, contacted local leading agricultural enterprises, and selected 9 households throughout the county for experimental planting. "After overcoming technical difficulties such as equipment and planting techniques, we have gradually developed a suitable model for planting Tremella in northern families," said Zhang Tieqiu, a member of the Party group and second level chief clerk of the Agriculture and Rural Bureau of Yanshan County. The temperature control, humidification and other equipment operate automatically, and technicians regularly patrol. The renovated farmhouse has become an intelligent workshop. During the growth cycle of a batch of mushroom sticks, Bai Xiaoxia only needs to pay more attention to the four stages of stick loading, mushroom stick opening, displacement adjustment, and harvesting. The next year, Bai Xiaoxia also freed up his remaining idle house to plant silver ear fungus. In 2022, relying on the joint construction of villages and enterprises, Yangzhuang Village will build a Tremella planting base and build 9 large-scale workshops for operation. Taking advantage of the empty space in his family workshop management, Bai Xiaoxia went to the planting base to work again. "It's all the same job, and we have experience. Last year, I earned nearly 80000 yuan from growing my own silver ear fungus, and earned 40000 yuan from working at the base." After finishing his work, Bai Xiaoxia calculated his income. Zhang Tieqiu introduced that so far, Yanshan County has built 220 intelligent planting workshops through village enterprise cooperation, and transformed 261 household intelligent workshops through the "government+enterprises+cooperatives+farmers" approach.
