The reporter learned from Guangxi Beibu Gulf International Port Group Co., Ltd. that in January of this year, 978 sea rail intermodal trains were operated on the Western Land Sea New Channel, a year-on-year increase of 87.7%. At the beginning of the new year, the Beibu Gulf Port Group has put together efforts to seize speed and strengthen port services. On February 2nd, the number of sea rail intermodal trains operating in the Western Land Sea New Corridor completed the first "1000" trains in 2024, a year-on-year increase of 83%. Since the beginning of this year, the number of trains operating in Chongqing Guangxi, Sichuan Guangxi, Yunnan Guangxi, Guizhou Guangxi, and Guangxi has all shown a significant growth trend, with the year-on-year growth rates of Chongqing Guangxi and Guangxi trains reaching 117.1% and 132.7%, respectively. The logistics scale of the sea rail intermodal transportation trains in the western land sea new channel continues to expand, supporting the development of import and export trade. At present, the new channel transportation category has reached 1143, radiating to 70 cities and 145 railway stations, and reaching 495 ports in 120 countries and regions worldwide. With the deepening of the integration of sea rail intermodal transportation in the Beibu Gulf Port, efficient communication and sharing of information in various links of sea rail intermodal transportation have been achieved. The Qinzhou Railway Container Center Station and the Beibu Gulf Port Automation Terminal are operating in an integrated manner, and the comprehensive service capacity and level of the Beibu Gulf Port are continuously improving. "In January, the daily loading of trains for the Western Land Sea New Channel in Guangxi reached 791 vehicles, equivalent to over 31 trains, with a year-on-year increase of 146% in shipping service capacity and a record high of 1030 vehicles per day."
