The latest survey report released by the American Chamber of Commerce in China shows that 50% of surveyed American companies still consider China as the world's preferred or top three investment destination. This survey targeting member companies of the American Chamber of Commerce in China was conducted from October to November 2023, with a total of 343 American companies participating in the survey. The report shows that the majority of surveyed companies will still maintain their presence in China, with 77% of surveyed companies stating that they currently have no plans to relocate their production or procurement operations out of China. About half of the surveyed companies stated that they will maintain their investment scale in China in 2024, while nearly 40% stated that they plan to increase their investment in China in 2024. Considering the Chinese market as a strategic focus and optimistic about the rapid growth of the Chinese economy are their top considerations for capital increase. (Lai Xin She)
