The groundbreaking ceremony of the China Pavilion at the Kansai World Expo in Osaka, Japan was successfully held on the 2nd at the Osaka Dream Island Expo Park. Nearly 200 people attended the ceremony, including Ren Hongbin, President of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, Wu Jianghao, Chinese Ambassador to Japan, Hiroyuki Ishima, Director General of the Osaka Kansai World Expo Association, Yoshimoto Yoshimura, Governor of Osaka Prefecture, and representatives from relevant Japanese government departments, World Expo partners, enterprises, and media. Chinese and Japanese guests jointly laid the foundation for the construction of the China Pavilion. Ren Hongbin delivered a speech at the ceremony, stating that the successful opening ceremony of the China Pavilion marks a crucial step forward in China's exhibition work. The China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) will closely cooperate with relevant parties and strive to make the China Pavilion the most beautiful "China's business card" of the Osaka World Expo, showcasing a rich and colorful, vivid and three-dimensional image of China to the world, promoting economic and trade exchanges between China and foreign countries, and building a better world together. Wu Jianghao stated that China and Japan have a solid foundation for cooperation in the World Expo. On the basis of carrying the past, the China Pavilion will actively promote modern Chinese civilization, introduce China's rapid development achievements, showcase an open, inclusive, and friendly image of China, and assist in the grand cause of building a community with a shared future for mankind. Shi Maobo stated that the theme of the China Pavilion is to jointly build a community of life between humans and nature, which is highly anticipated. I hope more Chinese friends will come to Osaka next year to experience the unique charm of the World Expo firsthand. The 2025 Osaka Kansai World Expo will be held from April 13 to October 13, 2025, with the theme of "Building a Future Society and Imagining Tomorrow's Life". The China Pavilion is one of the largest foreign self built pavilions in terms of land area for this World Expo, with the theme of "Building a Community of Life between Man and Nature - a Future Society of Green Development". Its appearance takes the shape of a long scroll of traditional Chinese books, and its exhibition is based on the vivid practice of green development in China, which elaborates on the development concept of harmonious coexistence between man and nature.
