Recently, the 33rd Education and Vocational Expo, organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, was held at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center, attracting over 800 institutions from 17 countries and regions to participate. The event featured on-site recruitment and provided more than 3000 employment opportunities, providing development opportunities for young people seeking employment and education. If youth prosper, then Hong Kong prospers; Youth development is the development of Hong Kong; If youth have a future, then Hong Kong has a future. Recently, various sectors in Hong Kong have actively organized a series of activities, jointly committed to helping young people solve difficulties and problems in their studies, employment, entrepreneurship, and other aspects, and providing a platform and ladder for their development and growth. This year's Hong Kong Education and Vocational Expo offers a wide range of diverse employment opportunities, with the theme of "Pursuing Dreams and Unlocking Achievements". Over 100 events were held during the Expo, covering fields such as "Culture and Art", "Innovative Technology", "Greater Bay Area Education and Employment Opportunities", and "Aviation and Navigation". According to Gu Jingmin, Assistant President of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the Expo is divided into two major sections: "Education" and "Career". The "Education" section provides students with local, mainland, and overseas education information, while the "Career" section provides job seekers with an overview and trends of the job market in various industries. 18 departments and 9 public institutions of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region government, as well as multiple private institutions such as banks and insurance companies, professional service enterprises, and human resources companies, set up stalls at the event site to actively compete for talent and attract many graduates to come for consultation. On the afternoon of the opening day of the event, the booth of the Immigration Department of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government attracted two to three hundred people to inquire, of which sixty to seventy percent were interested in the work of the Immigration Department. Near the stall of the Hong Kong Fire Services Department, firefighters dressed in orange red firefighting suits were surrounded by people who came to inquire. For the first time, a police officer panel interview session has been set up at the Hong Kong Police Force booth, where attendees can conduct on-site interviews on the recruitment of submachine vehicles. The Secretary for Civil Service Affairs of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government, Yang Hebei, stated that in recent years, the government has introduced a series of measures aimed at attracting people from different backgrounds to join the civil service team and providing job seekers with a wide range of diverse employment opportunities. In addition to the Education and Vocational Expo organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council, the University of Hong Kong will hold the "2024 Employment Expo" for five consecutive days starting from January 22, seizing the forefront of innovation and entrepreneurship. More than 170 companies and institutions from business, finance, technology and other fields participated in the event, with over 5000 students present. Innovative technology is the highlight of this event, with many enterprises deeply involved in fields such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, renewable energy, biotechnology, and genetic engineering participating in the event, providing the latest information and employment choices for the attending students. "In response to the future development and widespread application of artificial intelligence in various industries, we will also launch multiple career education activities related to artificial intelligence next month, attracting relevant enterprises to provide more internship opportunities for students." said Xie Shuji, Director of Student Affairs at the University of Hong Kong. The Hong Kong SAR government has also continued to implement multiple measures to support Hong Kong youth
