On January 27th, Thomas Rabe, grandson of John Rabe, who has long been committed to Sino German friendship, was interviewed in Frankfurt, Germany. The Chinese Consulate General in Frankfurt recently held a "Friendship and Inheritance" New Year themed event, awarding special contribution awards, city friendship awards, and youth exchange awards to 9 German friends, including Thomas Rabe, grandson of John Rabe who has long been committed to Sino German friendship, Klaus Schlapner, the first foreign head coach of the Chinese men's football team, and Karl Heinz Gass, who has been awarded the title of "People's Friendly Ambassador" by the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries. Winning German friends have expressed that the friendship between Germany and China has a deep foundation, and they look forward to promoting more forms of cultural dialogue and exchanges between Germany and China, especially hoping that the friendship between the people can continue in the younger generation.
