For 34 consecutive years, the Chinese Foreign Minister has designated Africa as the first annual destination and visited Latin America; China's series of diplomatic actions cover Asia, Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean, injecting positive energy into the construction of a global community with a shared future in the South. Currently, the world's century long changes are accelerating, and southern countries are facing a complex external environment. On the one hand, the world is accelerating towards multipolarity, but some countries still adhere to hegemonic thinking and power politics, attempting to push the world towards the old path of camp confrontation and zero sum game; On the other hand, economic globalization has encountered a headwind, with unilateralism and protectionism clearly rising, seriously interfering with the development of southern countries and even the global economy. As a member of the developing country family and the "global South", China has always breathed and shared the same fate with developing countries, and is determined to work together with southern countries to solve the above challenges. China calls on southern countries around the world to jointly promote an equal and orderly world multipolarity and inclusive economic globalization. It has seized the prominent issues in the current turbulent and changing period of the world, further clarifying the firm pursuit of fairness and justice by southern countries in a world of turmoil and interweaving. This is of great significance for building a global community with a shared future in the South, and has been highly recognized and widely appreciated. South South cooperation has gone through nearly 70 years and is currently facing new development opportunities. In recent years, the Chinese economy has shown tremendous development resilience, providing strong support for the revitalization of South South cooperation. The remarkable achievements of Chinese path to modernization have provided new options for developing countries to achieve modernization. The exchange of experience in governance between China and developing countries has greatly enriched the connotation of South South cooperation. The "the Belt and Road" initiative proposed by China has become the most popular international public goods and the largest international cooperation platform. During the 19th Summit of the Non Aligned Movement and the 3rd South Summit, participating countries issued a "global southern" voice of independence, unity, mutual benefit and win-win to the world, jointly calling for the construction of a more inclusive and reasonable global economic and financial system, and injecting "southern" forces into the construction of a peaceful, just and prosperous world. In 2023, "Global South" was named one of the annual terms by the media, highlighting the increasingly important role that emerging market countries and developing countries are playing on the international stage. Independence and self-reliance are the political foundation of southern countries, unity and self-improvement are the glorious traditions of southern countries, development and revitalization are the historical missions of southern countries, and fairness and justice are the common demands of southern countries. At the 19th Summit of the Non Aligned Movement and the 3rd South Summit, southern countries expressed their willingness to play a greater role in maintaining world peace, promoting common development, and improving global governance.
