The meeting called for the strict implementation of the leniency system for confession and punishment in accordance with the law, the improvement of the working mechanism to ensure the authenticity of voluntary confession and punishment, and the legality and appropriateness of sentencing recommendations, the coordinated promotion of the standardization and substantiation of trial procedures for confession and punishment cases, the pilot of full coverage of lawyer defense during the review and prosecution stage, and the improvement of the quality of sentencing recommendations. Efforts should be made to standardize case handling and improve the quality.
