On the 30th, Zhang Guoqing, member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Vice Premier of the State Council, conducted research and inspection on grassroots fire safety supervision work in Beijing. Zhang Guoqing visited mixed production and operation sites and residential communities in Dongcheng District, visited fire control rooms, catering units, and training institutions, and went deep into residential buildings and property duty rooms to inspect the maintenance of fire protection facilities, escape channel management, gas and electricity safety, emergency duty, and other situations on site. He urged relevant parties to quickly investigate and rectify various problems and hidden dangers. Afterwards, Zhang Guoqing went to a fire rescue special service station in Chaoyang District to gain a detailed understanding of grassroots fire station response, fire education, and command system construction. He emphasized that all regions should deeply learn from the painful lessons of recent fire accidents, be highly vigilant and take quick action, focus on key places such as "nine small places", mixed production and operation places with multiple formats, and densely populated places, strictly implement grassroots fire safety supervision responsibilities and inspection points, and effectively implement responsibility measures to grassroots branches and social units, specific scenes, locations, and personnel. To address prominent issues such as closed safety exits and escape routes, occupation and blockage of fire exits, and illegal and irregular construction operations, we need to strengthen joint inspections and professional inspections by multiple departments, conduct in-depth and meticulous investigations and rectification, resolutely and decisively take rectification measures, leaving no blind spots or blind spots, and not letting go of any hidden dangers, to ensure that the centralized action to eliminate fire safety problems has achieved the expected results. Zhang Guoqing pointed out that fire rescue agencies and relevant departments in various regions should promote hidden danger investigation, supervision and law enforcement, and publicity and education, guide and supervise various business entities and social units to strictly implement the fire safety supervision system, comprehensively inspect and maintain fire protection facilities and equipment, solidly organize and carry out fire emergency drills, and effectively improve the public's fire safety awareness and ability to avoid danger and escape.
