These new factories come from 8 countries, including China, Germany, India, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Thailand, Turkey, and the United States. Among them, there are 13 factories located in China, accounting for more than half of the total. Since its first selection in 2018, there have been a total of 153 lighthouse factories worldwide, with 63 factories located in China. The "Lighthouse Factory" project aims to find a model for digital transformation in the manufacturing industry, and all selected factories are innovative demonstrators of "digital manufacturing" and "globalization 4.0" with exemplary significance.
