Chinese Ice Sculpture Lantern Art Exhibition Appears in Norway

Hello! The "China" Ice Sculpture Lantern Art Exhibition opened on the 28th in Oslo, the capital of Norway. The ice sculpture works produced by Harbin ice sculptors in Norway and the colorful lanterns from Zigong, Sichuan have attracted many local people to come and appreciate. It is reported that this exhibition is hosted by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China and the Chinese Embassy in Norway, and will continue until February 14th. Minister of Culture and Tourism Sun Yeli, Chinese Ambassador to Norway Hou Yue, and Vice President and Director of Tourism and Special Affairs of the Norwegian Innovation Agency Elizabeth Swanholm Meyer attended the opening ceremony. Hou Yue introduced that both China and Norway have diverse ice and snow cultures. In order to share their common love for ice and snow, the Chinese side has specially invited artists from Harbin Ice and Snow World to Norway to create ice sculptures of the Chinese Dragon Year zodiac, such as the auspicious dragon and the panda, to express their New Year greetings to Norwegian friends and sincere invitations to visit China. Hou Yue expressed the hope that China and Norway can take the 70th anniversary of diplomatic relations as an opportunity to strengthen cultural exchanges, close tourism cooperation, and inject new vitality into the development of bilateral relations. Meyer stated that this ice sculpture lantern exhibition is a generous gift from Chinese friends and will become another bridge connecting the Norwegian people and China's colorful culture. This exhibition is set in Oslo and brings a unique Chinese cultural experience to tourists from Norway and around the world. After the opening ceremony, many local people came to admire and take photos with ice sculptures and lanterns. Oslo resident Emile Christensen told reporters that the ice sculptures and colorful lights on display have broadened his horizons, allowing him to understand the charm of Chinese ice and snow culture and traditional culture, and has given him more aspirations for this great Eastern country.
