According to Colonel Xie Peng, spokesperson for the Air Force, this morning, 7 J-10 performance planes of the People's Liberation Army Air Force's August 1st Flight Performance Team took off from a certain airport in northwest China and went to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to participate in the second Saudi International Defense Exhibition held from February 4th to 8th and perform their flights. This is the tenth time that the performance team has flown abroad, showcasing the charm of China's "Blue Sky Honor Guard". During the transition, the Chinese Air Force dispatched Y-20 aircraft to accompany the mission formation for aerial refueling. The Air Force August 1st Flight Performance Team has been established for over 60 years and has been equipped with J-5, J-6, J-5, J-7EB, J-7GB, J-10, and J-10C performance aircraft. It has conducted over 700 flight performances for more than 700 delegations from 170 countries and regions. In recent years, the Air Force August 1st Flight Performance Team has continuously gone abroad and flown to the world stage, becoming ambassadors of peace, culture, and friendship. For the first time visiting Saudi Arabia, the Air Force's August 1st Flight Performance Team conducted on-site inspections of the mission airport environment, and carefully choreographed the flight performance movements based on environmental characteristics and flight plans.
