Lin Shiyuan showcases his latest creations. It is not an exaggeration to describe Lin Shiyuan as an "art enthusiast", as reported by our reporter Wang Danxin. When he saw Lin Shiyuan, he was lying at the desk, tapping and striking a silver embryo without noticing anyone walking in. The room was very quiet, only the sound of "ding ding dang" could be heard. The lighting illuminated a plan and also illuminated the silver embryo in Lin Shiyuan's hand, looking pure white from a distance. This room, located on the second floor of the commercial street in the center of Fu'an City, Fujian Province, is not large, and the sign "Lin Shiyuan Master Studio" hangs at the entrance. This is the "home" of Lin Shiyuan, a master of Chinese arts and crafts and a representative inheritor of the She ethnic group's silverware production technology in the national intangible cultural heritage protection project. The reason why it is called "home" is because it is the place where Lin Shiyuan spends the longest time in a day. As long as he doesn't travel, he stays here for more than 10 hours to conceptualize, create, and polish his works. In the studio, there are multiple works that Lin Shiyuan is currently creating or has already completed. Silver jewelry, silver tea sets, silver ornaments... each piece is exquisite and unparalleled, witnessing Lin Shiyuan's more than 50 years of artistic career. At the age of 16, Lin Shiyuan apprenticed to a well-known family of silversmiths in Saiqi Town, Fu'an City - the Ye family. At that time, the banking regulations were strict, and the craftsmanship was not spread to the outside world. The Ye family also had an unwritten rule: the master and apprentice should not take out all the real goods. Lin Shiyuan became an exception. After Yiman graduated, he not only took on the silver carving business of the Ye family's "Zhenhua Hall", but also betrothed his daughter Ye Liping to his master Ye Huixiong. Lin Shiyuan's craftsmanship was honed through hard work. After three years of studying, playing silver occupied all of Lin Shiyuan's life. He woke up at 5 o'clock, carried water, and swept the floor. He was busy until 7 o'clock and started playing silver. He was always the last to finish work at night. Every January, Lin Shiyuan goes out with his master, wandering the streets and alleys to earn silver, and only returns at the end of November that year. Lin Shiyuan is talented. Once, a famous silver striking teacher named Fu talked about his proud work. After returning, Lin Shiyuan made it based on the old master's verbal description. During the creation, Lin Shiyuan also made improvements to the shortcomings of the original work. After the work was circulated, the old master approached Lin Shiyuan and said, "You little guy, you're so amazing!" The spark of innovation had been ignited since then. At that time, Lin Shiyuan studied traditional jewelry making techniques. With the development of the times, problems such as complex processes and rough workmanship gradually emerged. In 1985, in order to revitalize folk crafts, Fujian selected folk artists throughout the province to follow Hong Kong masters for further education. Lin Shiyuan was lucky enough to be selected. In the silverware production workshop, modern production has broadened Lin Shiyuan's horizons. From the melting workshop on the first floor to the use of the flower drawing machine on the fifth floor, he never forgets every technique. Thanks to this training, Lin Shiyuan integrated the skills of raw silver and cooked silver, achieving a breakthrough in his own skills and promoting innovation in the Ningde silverware industry. Afterwards, innovation continued. On the basis of preserving traditional techniques, Lin Shiyuan improved the design method and carving techniques
