Reading is interesting, chatting about forgetting old age

I have recently read the "Jiannan Poetry Manuscripts" and found that there are many poems about reading, all of which were written by Fangweng at the age of seventy or eighty. Having leisure time in old age, reading ancient books, and passing the time is a great choice. However, in his later years, Fangweng was plagued by poverty and illness, and his old age was full of ups and downs. However, he said, "In old age, there is no other hobby, and there is a unique joy in books." "Who knows that the elderly with crane hair are still reading the fine character books of flies.". Faced with aging and illness, he has said so more than once. A tooth that shakes repeatedly still lingers on the flesh, and although the eyes are astringent, they still linger on the book. My eyes are dizzy, my teeth are about to fall out, and I still have to read. He also said, "Burned sideburns, bald teeth, and sparse teeth, old and sick, yet not abandoned books before the lamp." The same meaning. The bamboo slips survived and were read casually, while the snail hut was small and wide. Fangweng named his snail hut "Turtle Hall", and its narrow and curly meaning is self-evident. But as long as there are books to read, no matter how small, it still appears spacious. Chaijing has no visitors all day long, relying on Tao's poetry to accompany him. Chaijing is the Chaimen and Pengmen, paired with Snail House and Turtle Hall, but it is not "Pengmen has only been opened for you now", but rather a sparse door. But if you have books to read, that's enough. So, he said, "A roll of old book with a bamboo slip, half a liter of turbid wine poured into a bottle." With a little more turbid wine, it would be even more pleasant. Fangweng is willing to study in seclusion. He said, "In the cold spring, I thank frequent visitors, but in old age, I am still greedy and have not seen books." Reading alone is not lonely, and it has its benefits: "There is also a place for sorrow in seclusion. After reading a book of coquettishness and drunkenness." After closing the door, reading is the best leisure and comfort. Reading is a personal matter, there is no need to be as lively as holding a party. With books on the shelf, I am already satisfied, but without food in the steamer, I am still content. I'm hungry, just have a book to read. Fangweng also wrote this poem: "Before I borrow rice, I worry about the cold stove. Reading has classes waiting for the window to light up." Nowadays, do our readers still have such days of borrowing food for cooking? Can you still have such a scene of reading all night? The scene of reading until dawn in this way is not a coincidence for Fangweng. "A solitary lamp on a fine character, steadfastly sitting in the middle of the night"; Sleeping until night with dazzling eyes and hot ears, blowing fire and reading fragmented books; There are many lines like "Another day of floating life, the window shines brightly when I open the book", which are self portraits of a wandering man reading on the night of his old age. Reading enriches his inner self, enhances his spiritual antibodies, and thus resists his old illness, loneliness, and poverty. A book of wormheads serves as a companion, and half a bowl of wheat and rice grows day by day; The sages in the scroll can face each other, and the wealth and honor of the world are floating in the clouds; "Poor and humble, never wavering in their aspirations, reclusive and swimming in books and poetry"... Whether you call him Ah Q or he enjoys it himself, he is always like this, always persistently saying, "I forget the taste of food when I read the incomplete compilations, and Zhu Xian's three sighs have a lingering sound; Reading is interesting, chatting about forgetting old age, and even if there is not much salary, it is also a substitute for farming. I really like these two poems, one is "forgetting the flavor" and the other is "having flavor", both of which are the feelings and feelings that reading brings to him. The phrase "forgetting taste" in the front refers to the taste of food, but in fact, the phrase "having taste" in the back is two expressions of the same meaning, a choice and balance between material and spiritual, repeatedly praising his reading pleasure and values. The presence or absence of taste lies in the presence or absence of books. Of course, he is a scholar, and reading is a lifelong habit and duty. However, like him, who is so old and fatally weak, with a hungry stomach and a cold body, he still loves books so much that they are not intended for utilitarianism,
