The meeting pointed out the need to keep up with the times and improve the supervision and handling methods. In fulfilling the duty of case review in accordance with the law, for cases with doubts or disputes over evidence, it is necessary to make good use of the power of self supplementary investigation, collect fixed supplementary evidence in a targeted manner, enhance the firsthand experience of case handling, and improve the efficiency of case handling. The focus of supplementary investigation is on "supplementation", and those who meet the conditions and need to be returned for investigation shall be returned in accordance with the law. Those who have been returned for inspection cannot be returned at once, they need to be tracked and supervised. The meeting emphasized that investigating and verifying power is an important means for procuratorial organs to supervise and handle cases. Only through investigation and verification can errors in factual determination and legal application be discovered, determined, and corrected. Investigation and verification should come out of the case file, from the office, and from the procuratorial organs, to ensure accuracy and effectiveness through personal experience, and to restore objective truth to the maximum extent possible through legal facts.
