The people who promote these concepts to you may quietly tell you a secret: "The funding source of our project is the national assets that are about to be unfrozen overseas. Currently, the country cannot disclose it to the outside world, so many people do not know. If you invest now and wait for the national assets to be unfrozen, it will be repaid dozens of times, which is both beneficial to the country and oneself.". If you or your elderly family have really heard such words, please do not hesitate to report to the police. Recently, the Ministry of Public Security announced the first batch of national asset unfreezing fraud projects and fraud related apps, mainly including 78 false projects such as "Dream Fulfillment Action", "Cloud Data Trade", and "Zhitian Finance". Since 2023, the Ministry of Public Security has cracked more than 260 cases of fraud related to the thawing of ethnic assets and dismantled more than 180 criminal gangs. The main characteristic of this type of fraud is to use people's patriotic enthusiasm, weave political concepts, usually use national and ethnic flags, fabricate relevant national policies and other means, fabricate various "poverty alleviation projects" and "investment projects", lure victims to sign agreements online, purchase commercial products to participate in investment, or pay "project start-up funds" and "member registration fees". At the same time, some fraud gangs develop specialized apps to search for agents, develop offline activities, and use online meetings to train and brainwash. The so-called "unfreezing of ethnic assets" fraud crimes began in the early 1980s. Fraudulent gangs usually use the banner of the country and ethnic groups to fabricate investment projects such as "unfreezing of ethnic assets", "elderly assistance", and "precision poverty alleviation" by forging official documents, certificates, and seals of state organs, and fabricating relevant national policies. They lure victims to pay "project start-up funds" and "member registration fees" to invest and invest in stocks, in order to illegally raise and deceive money. In recent years, with the popularity of smart phones and social networking tools, fraudsters have embarked on the road of "Internet plus+fraud". Developing offline through pyramid schemes and constantly brainwashing members, many elderly people without a sense of prevention have been hit one after another. New variants such as "historical assets" and "military civilian integration" have a very negative impact, causing huge losses to the public. We cannot help but ask: why is this type of fraud repeatedly prohibited? Where is the difficulty of rectification? In fact, ethnic asset unfreezing fraud criminals constantly change their methods and vests based on the development of society and the introduction of national policies, which is indeed difficult to prevent. Once again, I would like to remind you that there are no "national asset unfreezing" projects or related organizations in China. Any charity, poverty alleviation, investment, or elderly care "projects involving" national asset unfreezing "are all fraudulent and should be reported to the public security organs immediately. Forwarding, inciting, and promoting information on the unfreezing of ethnic assets, or recruiting members or organizing illegal gatherings, are all considered illegal crimes! It is impossible for pies to fall from the sky, and any high return activities should be carefully participated in. For similar scams, we need to popularize cases as warnings and improve our awareness of prevention.
