The museum was jointly built by the People's Government of Baoding City, Hebei Province, the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, with a total floor area of about 73100 square meters. With "nature, life and people" as the exhibition theme and "evolution" as the main line of the exhibition, it presents the long history of life evolution over 3.8 billion years, including multiple theme exhibition halls such as "Earth Pulse", "Ancient Ocean", "Dinosaur Empire", "Mammalism" and "War of Extinction". The venue uses fossils of ancient organisms, living animals, rocks, minerals, etc. as carriers, integrating scientific and interesting elements. It systematically popularizes knowledge of earth science, the origin and evolution of life, and ecological protection concepts. The historical weightiness and rugged natural beauty perfectly integrate the theme of "ancient animals" with modern architectural concepts, allowing the public to better experience the magnificent process of life evolution. It is reported that the China Palaeontology Museum (Baoding Natural History Museum) is a major cooperation project between the Baoding Municipal People's Government and the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Relying on the advantages in space, exhibition, digitization and infrastructure of the China Paleontology Museum (Baoding Natural Museum), the Institute of Vertebrate Paleontology and Paleoanthropology of the Chinese Academy of Sciences will release nearly 400000 precious fossils in Beijing in batches. Baoding City's innovative system mechanism and supporting policies provide first-class services for scientific researchers, and build the "I Fix Fossils in Baoding" brand that integrates scientific research, popular science, and learning functions.
