AG60E Electric Aircraft Successfully Debuts

On the 4th, it was learned from Aviation Industry Corporation of China that the AG60E electric aircraft independently developed by AVIC General Aircraft Co., Ltd. has successfully completed its first flight at Qiandao Lake General Airport in Jiande, Zhejiang. The AG60E electric aircraft is the electric version of the AG60 aircraft. It is reported that since the launch of the project, the development team has carried out multiple design and technical research work, including motor, electronic control, power battery selection, electric propulsion system integration testing and verification, electric aircraft safety and airworthiness compliance, etc., and completed the electrification modification of AG60 light sports aircraft. This has accumulated valuable experience for the development of electric aircraft products and the electrification modification of active fixed wing aircraft, as well as for seizing the strategic opportunity of aviation power transformation The promotion of strategic emerging industry layout and the development of low altitude economic industries have laid a solid foundation. In September 2021, the AG60 aircraft made its debut at the 13th China Air Show. Public information shows that the AG60 aircraft is a light sports aircraft that is all metal, with two seats side by side, upper wing, front engine, and front three-point landing gear. The aircraft has a total length of 6.9 meters, a wingspan of 8.6 meters, a ceiling of 3600 meters, a maximum level flight speed of 218 kilometers per hour, and a range of 1100 kilometers. It is reported that the AG60 aircraft completed its first domestic flight in October 2020. From June to September 2021, the AG60 aircraft obtained the light sports aircraft model qualification certificate and production license issued by the East China Civil Aviation Administration, marking the approval of this model to enter the domestic civil aircraft market and the start of mass production.
