According to the Russian President's website, Putin stated that special attention should be paid to strengthening the coordination of foreign policies among member countries, jointly addressing challenges and threats to international and regional security and stability, ensuring energy and food security, enhancing the role of BRICS countries in the international monetary and financial system, developing inter bank and financial cooperation, and expanding the use of currencies in mutual trade. In addition, it is necessary to further promote exchanges in fields such as technology, healthcare, ecology, culture, sports, youth, as well as interactions among civil society groups. Putin also stated that he will take all possible measures to promote the harmonious integration of new members into the BRICS cooperation mechanism.
