On the 26th, the Chinese Academy of Engineering released the results of "Super Engineering Research" in Beijing. This project is the first to systematically study the basic topic of building a country through engineering in modern China, filling the gap in academic research in related fields. Since its establishment in 2019, "Super Engineering Research" has completed two major series of research work over the past five years. One is to complete the "Super Engineering Research" series of reports, including 2 overall reports, 4 special reports, and 4 final reports, totaling approximately 1.46 million words; The second is to compile 29 upcoming publications, totaling approximately 5.215 million words, including 6 theoretical research works in the Super Engineering Series, totaling approximately 1.9 million words. The entire research covers ancient and modern times, both at home and abroad, spanning thousands of years, and is a grand systematic academic research project. The "super engineering research" project provides an important scientific decision support for building a Chinese path to modernization. "Super engineering research" has provided a clear and complete definition for the first time, elaborating on the basic characteristics, standards, and classifications of super engineering. This project also systematically, multi-dimensionally, and comprehensively studied and analyzed the role, characteristics, and laws of super engineering for the first time, scientifically revealing the six laws of super engineering: "civilization migration, demand pull, gradual evolution, economic foundation, technological progress, and natural force influence". For the first time, it was discovered that the distribution of different types of super engineering in different periods of human history highly overlaps with civilized regions. Super engineering research has also accurately selected 643 super engineering projects that span both ancient and modern times, covering both China and foreign countries, and entered the ranking list. Among them, 110 were selected in the "China Ancient Super Engineering Ranking", 299 were selected in the "China Modern Super Engineering Ranking", 100 were selected in the "World Ancient Super Engineering Ranking", and 134 were selected in the "World Modern Super Engineering Ranking". The 643 super projects that have entered the ranking list have their historical status determined through professional discussions and their social value determined through expert scoring. At the same time, the study summarized investment conversion methods for super engineering, such as using the rice price method to convert the Great Wall into a large model, which would cost at least over 1 trillion yuan.
