On April 12, 2021, the Supreme People's Procuratorate filed a case against the environmental pollution clues caused by solid waste packaging in mail and express delivery, initiated the public interest litigation procedure, and promoted the construction of mechanisms through case handling, promoting the green and healthy development of the industry. The Supreme People's Procuratorate, in collaboration with functional departments such as the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Postal Administration, has made joint efforts to focus on environmental pollution caused by mail and express packaging. A series of on-site investigations, discussions, and quantitative evaluations have been carried out, fully listening to the opinions of various sectors of society and accelerating the improvement of supporting governance mechanisms.
