At present, there are various categories emerging, and live reading programs are mainly divided into five categories: first, thematic, referring to programs made by online platforms, with fixed titles, and centered on dialogue and interviews, such as "Book Walker", "Lao Yu's Idle Talk", "Knowledge Thursday", and so on. The fifth type is intermediary type, which refers to activities organized by publishing houses, magazines and other institutions in the form of live streaming, such as new book sharing, reading of masterpieces, learning lectures, and knowledge popularization. It can be said that these categories of live reading programs have blossomed and integrated with each other, creating a thriving ecological environment for live reading programs. They have revitalized reading in the context of live streaming and allowed live streaming to accumulate valuable aesthetic connotations due to the influence of reading. Creating a brand new reading experience and reading good books is the basic selection standard and aesthetic consciousness for live reading programs. How to define "good"? Different programs have different presentations, and the consensus is that they have the functions and values of inheriting Chinese civilization, consolidating cultural identity, enriching knowledge structure, regulating life rhythm, observing social life, and showcasing the style of the times. Only by starting with reading good books can live reading programs solidify the foundation and innovate the reading experience.
