The voting for the Egyptian presidential election kicked off on the 10th, with four candidates, including current President Cesi, running for the new president. According to the National Election Commission of Egypt, approximately 67 million voters can vote at over 9000 polling stations across Egypt. The voting time is from 9:00 to 9:00 every day from the 10th to the 12th. The four candidates participating in the election are the current President Cesi, the Chairman of the Egyptian Social Democratic Party Zahran, the Chairman of the Egyptian Waffen Party Yemamai, and the Chairman of the Egyptian Republican People's Party Hazim. The Egyptian Constitution stipulates that presidential elections shall be conducted in two rounds of voting. If a candidate receives more than half of the votes in the first round of voting, they will be directly elected. Otherwise, the two candidates who received the most votes in the first round will enter the second round of voting, and the candidate who received the most votes in the second round will be elected. According to the timetable released by the Egyptian National Election Commission, the results of the first round of voting for this election will be announced on December 18th. If a second round of voting is conducted, the final result will be announced no later than January 16th next year. (Lai Xin She)
