On December 5th, Wang Yi, member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and Minister of Foreign Affairs, attended the opening ceremony of the international seminar on "Commemorating the 75th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights" in Beijing and delivered a keynote speech. Wang Yi said that the CPC and the Chinese government have always attached great importance to the promotion and protection of human rights, adhered to the principle of universality of human rights in combination with China's reality, and embarked on a path of human rights development that conforms to the trend of the times and suits China's national conditions. Adhere to putting the people at the center, and the right of the people to be the masters of their own country is more fully reflected; Adhere to equal and shared human rights, and ensure the more comprehensive implementation of the rights of all ethnic groups and groups; Persist in participating in international human rights governance and make positive contributions to the global human rights cause. Wang Yi emphasized that he is willing to exchange and dialogue with other countries on the basis of equality and respect, learn from each other, complement each other's strengths and weaknesses, and work together to achieve the goals established in the Declaration. One is to advocate for common security and create a more peaceful international environment for the realization of human rights. The second is to prioritize development and provide a more solid material foundation for the realization of human rights. The third is to promote exchanges and mutual learning, providing more diverse path choices for realizing human rights. The fourth is to uphold fairness and justice and provide a more effective platform for cooperation in realizing human rights.
