Enter the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum in China to appreciate the millennium old cultural heritage of the canal. Peng Yimeng, published in the People's Daily Overseas Edition (November 28, 2023, 7th edition), unearthed pottery horses from the ancient river channel site at Miduqiao Road in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Fang Peng Yimeng took a photo of the Southern Song Dynasty's outbound tax on silver ingots. The Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum in China provides a model of a Qing Dynasty transport ship. The Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum in China is a great project that has attracted worldwide attention. This artificial canal stretches from Beijing in Hebei to Hangzhou in the south, with a total length of 1794 kilometers. It is the longest and largest ancient canal in the world. In Gongshu District, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province, there is a stone arch bridge named Gongchen Bridge, which was built in 1631. It is a symbol of the southernmost end of the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal. On the east bank of Gongchen Bridge is the China Grand Canal Museum, which surrounds the Canal Culture Square in a fan-shaped shape. With a combination of flat slopes and an open layout, the indoor and outdoor landscapes are integrated, transforming the river, bridge, boat, and port into exhibits. The China Grand Canal Museum opened in 2006 and is the earliest museum to systematically showcase the history and culture of the Grand Canal. After four months of closure and upgrading, the China Grand Canal Museum reopened in September this year, attracting many visitors during the Hangzhou Asian Games. The main artery that runs through the north and south enters the preface hall of the museum, and two pillars come into view. The bottom of the pillars is decorated with the traditional Chinese auspicious beast, the pit viper. Lou Hongyan, a lecturer at the Grand Canal Museum in China, introduced that this represents the pillars of the Gongchen Bridge. In the middle of the pillars, a transport ship is "setting sail". Behind the ship, a nearly 100 square meter 8K ultra high definition large screen plays a loop of "The Formation of Canal Transport Ships Heading North", showcasing the scene of transport ships departing from Hangzhou and heading north directly to Beijing. On the left side of the preface hall, a long scroll of the imitated Qing Dynasty "Southern Tour Map" slowly unfolds, presenting the geographical landscape of both sides of the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal. "In order to better showcase the culture of the Grand Canal, we have renovated and upgraded the exterior and interior exhibitions of the museum." Ye Yanping, the director of the Beijing Hangzhou Grand Canal Museum in China, introduced that the museum's exhibition system includes a permanent basic exhibition "Connecting North and South: The Excavation, Transformation, and Influence of the Grand Canal" and a permanent special exhibition "Rising by the River: The Story of the Grand Canal and Hangzhou City" Special exhibitions include "Hangzhou Model of Canal Comprehensive Protection", "Millennium Canal Source Clear Current", and "Grand Canal Digital Cockpit" in the digital experience area. There are over 600 collections on display in the museum, three times the amount before. In addition, multimedia and interactive facilities have been added, bringing a rich and colorful experience to the audience
