Mr. Jin Baoxiang was born in February 1914 in Linpu Town, Xiaoshan County (now Xiaoshan District, Hangzhou City), Zhejiang Province, into a wealthy family. He lost his parents at the age of 5 and grew up healthy under the careful care of his mother. In his childhood, the family hired the famous historical novelist Mr. Cai Dongfan to enlighten him, and he developed a strong interest in history.
