This drama is supported by the Shanxi Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, guided by the Propaganda Department of the Communist Party of China Yuncheng Municipal Committee, produced by the Yuncheng Municipal Bureau of Culture and Tourism, and created and performed by the Shanxi Puju Art Academy. Shanxi Yuncheng is the birthplace of the national intangible cultural heritage project Puju, and as the hometown of Guan Gong, it is also the birthplace of the excellent traditional Chinese culture of loyalty and righteousness. After three years of creative refinement, "Loyalty and Righteousness in a Thousand Years" has attracted over 200 cast members to participate with enthusiasm. The whole drama is divided into eight chapters: prologue (Jieliang Chuba), Taoyuan Jieyi, Tushan Yueshi, Huazhu Mingzhi, Ancient City Gathering, Huarong Shicao, Shuiyan Qijun, and Dayi Shentian. With the theme of praising the loyalty and righteousness of Guan Gong, the widely circulated stories of Guan Gong are selected, and over a span of forty years, the ups and downs and glory of Guan Gong's brave and generous life and military life are reproduced. The newly edited version of "A Thousand Years of Loyalty and Righteousness" inherits the performance art of many famous Pu opera masters and famous Guan Gong dramas in its creation. Combining the traditional singing style and melody of Puzhou Bangzi, it condenses three generations of Pu opera actors from old, middle, and young generations, and constructs an epic narrative carrier. In the plot creation, a large-scale cultural and tourism integration drama is created based on history. On the basis of inheriting the Puju Guan Gong opera, rich regional elements such as Hedong culture, geography, landscape, and allusions are embedded in the Yuncheng, illuminating the Yuncheng logo and Guan Gong culture.
