On November 22nd, 60 officers and soldiers from the first echelon of China's fourth batch of peacekeeping helicopter teams to Abyei departed from Zhengzhou Xinzheng International Airport on an Air Force transport plane to carry out a 12 month peacekeeping mission in the Abyei region of East Africa. It is reported that the fourth batch of peacekeeping helicopter squadrons to Abyei are mainly drawn from an air assault brigade of the 83rd Army Group, consisting of one flight company, one aircraft company, one service company, and one first-class hospital. The personnel involved include 30 specialties such as flight, maintenance, security, and hygiene. Before embarking on the expedition, the peacekeeping helicopter squadron organized targeted training based on the characteristics of the mission. After arriving at the mission area, they will focus on tasks such as troop projection, air patrols, and material transportation under the unified deployment of the United Arab Security Forces. It is reported that the second tier officers and soldiers of the peacekeeping helicopter detachment will fly to the mission area in December. (New News Agency)
