This exhibition is divided into three chapters: Jade Born in China, Jade Formed in China, and Jade Beautiful in China. Jade artifacts cover the Spring and Autumn period, the Warring States period, the Qin and Han dynasties, and even the Ming and Qing dynasties, comprehensively showcasing the evolution of jade artifacts. From multiple aspects such as jade materials, craftsmanship, and cultural connotations, it presents the development of Chinese jade civilization. It is understood that the special exhibition will continue until January next year. Three national treasures and jade articles gathered for a special exhibition. In this jade article special exhibition, three of them can be called national treasures and jade articles. So, what are these three national treasures of jade? Why can they be called national treasures? Da Yuge: The largest piece of jade from various dynasties in China, known as the Da Yuge, has been unearthed. It was a jade ceremonial utensil made in the early Shang Dynasty and is very rare among Shang Dynasty jade artifacts. It is a national first-class cultural relic in China. The large jade dagger, with a large and elongated shape and a bluish yellow jade texture, is currently the largest jade dagger unearthed from various dynasties in China. Nanjing Museum curator Zuo Jun: This large jade dagger was unearthed at the site of Panlongcheng in Hubei Province. We see a hole at the back that is used to tie onto this wooden handle as an important ceremonial guard or ritual item. The most important thing about it is that it reflects the symbol of royal power during the early Shang Dynasty, so it is also listed as one of the first important cultural relics that cannot be exported in China. The Western Queen Mother God Rui Diesheng Shaped Jade Seat Screen: The tenon and mortise structure is exquisitely crafted. This jade artifact from the Eastern Han Dynasty is called the Western Queen Mother God Rui Diesheng Shaped Jade Seat Screen, which was a popular display tool in the mid to late Han Dynasty. The jade seat screen is made of Hetian jade in Xinjiang, and adopts various jade carving techniques such as openwork carving and engraving. The jade seat screen is carved with auspicious patterns such as phoenix and unicorn, and consists of two side brackets and two layers of carved jade pieces in the middle. Nanjing Museum curator Zuo Jun: Its design is particularly ingenious, consisting of four jade pieces connected together through this mortise and tenon structure. So this item not only represents the Han Dynasty's yearning for the immortal world, but also reflects the superb jade carving and design techniques of the Eastern Han Dynasty. Therefore, this is also one of the important jade artifacts prohibited from leaving China. Divine Beast Pattern Jade Bottle: The third national treasure jade artifact, known as the "King of Jade Bottles" in the Eastern Han Dynasty jade carving, is this jade vessel from the Eastern Han Dynasty: Divine Beast Pattern Jade Bottle. The relief on the jade bottle is decorated with patterns such as chi, tiger, dragon, and immortal riding clouds. The bottom of the jade bottle is supported by three bear feet, making it a representative work of the Eastern Han jade carving craft and known as the "King of Jade Bottles".
