According to him, at the recently concluded Shanghai International Wine and Spirits Trade Exhibition, France sent 78 related enterprises to participate, becoming the country with the highest number of participating enterprises. At the 6th China International Import Expo, France dispatched 140 enterprises, covering fields such as agriculture and industry. All of the above can indicate that French companies are full of ambition towards the Chinese market. We believe that French companies have great potential in the Chinese market, "said Bai Yutang. Economic and trade exchanges are one of the important foundations for the development of bilateral relations between China and France. Under the diplomatic guidance of the two heads of state, over the years, China France economic and trade relations have developed smoothly, gradually evolving from traditional trade and investment to the stage of full industry chain cooperation, joint research and development and manufacturing, and joint exploration of third-party markets between the two sides. The strategic importance of economic and trade cooperation between the two sides has become increasingly prominent. According to data from the French Bureau of Statistics, in 2022, the trade in goods between China and France exceeded the 100 billion euro mark for the first time, with a year-on-year increase of 14.6% and a strong momentum.
