The Chinese Consulate General in Montreal recently hosted the "Sino Canadian Friendship Night - Creative Drama Performance of Integration Beauty" at the Mary Stefan Theatre in Montreal. The creative drama performance organically integrates storytelling, Beijing Opera and Guzheng art in the form of western drama, telling the Chinese folk stories Painted Skin and The New Legend of Qixi Festival, so that the audience can enjoy the Chinese stories while immersed in the experience of Chinese traditional art and the integration of Chinese and Western cultures. This performance is directed by Robert Reid, a drama professor at Concordia University in Montreal. His recent works attempt to combine contemporary modern drama with traditional Chinese art such as storytelling, Chinese opera, and guzheng. Commentator Liang Tianzhi, Peking Opera actor Jiang Shijia, and guzheng performer Chen Xiao respectively performed in French Daobai, Chinese opera, and Chinese folk music. In this event, Chinese cuisine tasting, tea art performance, "Beautiful China" image exhibition, "Hello! China" national tourism image, "Festival Wonderful Tour" exciting dance videos, as well as Chinese folk music, Hanfu and other Chinese characteristic elements were displayed, complementing and complementing the ancient Western architecture and elegant Western art display of Mary Stefan Theater.
