The African Center for Disease Control and Prevention stated that the official opening of the laboratory will help African Union member countries improve their disease diagnosis, monitoring, and epidemic response capabilities. Hu Changchun, the head of the Chinese Embassy in the African Union, said that at the beginning of this year, the first phase of the headquarters project of the African Center for Disease Control and Prevention was completed, and now the laboratory is unveiled.
