The relevant person in charge of the National Health Commission introduced that starting from this year, we will carry out the national action of information exchange and sharing in medical and health institutions, striving to make landmark progress in the national exchange and sharing of medical and health information within three years. Mao Qun'an, Director of the Planning Department of the National Health Commission, introduced that currently, more than 8000 public hospitals at or above the second level have access to the regional public health information platform, more than 80% of tertiary hospitals in 20 provinces have access to the provincial public health information platform, 25 provinces have carried out shared access to electronic health records within the province, 17 provinces have carried out shared access to electronic medical records within the province, and 204 prefecture level cities have carried out intercommunication and sharing of inspection and examination results. Relying on the platform, various regions have achieved good results in facilitating information and benefiting the people by successfully handling key small matters such as "joint handling of one matter". On this basis, this campaign proposes eight goals and tasks, including popularizing and promoting electronic health cards, promoting the exchange and sharing of examination and test results, promoting one-stop settlement of medical expenses for commercial health insurance, and promoting cross provincial search of electronic health records. This campaign is guided by the needs of the masses, not greedy for perfection, and aims to provide the public with a tangible sense of achievement. For example, there is no longer a need to apply for a medical card at a hospital. As long as there is an electronic health card, it can achieve "one card universality" among different hospitals, and the results of examinations and tests can be shared among different hospitals.
