On October 30th, the final of the Beijing Maternal and Child Health Vocational Skills Competition was fiercely held, with 80 elite medical personnel in the field of maternal and child health standing out from over 2500 participants. In 2022, the maternal and infant mortality rates were 2.97/100000 and 1.26 ‰, respectively, reaching international advanced levels. The quality of women's health care services has been continuously upgraded. The screening rate of women's common diseases has increased from 29.43% to 87.51%. The early diagnosis rate of cervical cancer and breast cancer has remained at 98% and 80% respectively, and the treatment rate is close to 100%. The relevant person in charge of the Municipal Health Commission stated that this competition is divided into six events: critical care for pregnant and postpartum women, critical care for newborns, child eye care, cervical cancer prevention and treatment, family planning critical care, and grassroots maternal and child health care. Through the competition, it is hoped that it can inspire maternal and child health workers in the city to improve their theoretical level, professional skills, and professional literacy, thereby promoting the construction of a high-quality talent team.
