The two-day high-level international conference on "Eurasian Security: Realities and Prospects of a Transforming World" concluded on the 27th in Minsk, the capital of Belarus. Politicians and experts at the meeting discussed issues related to Eurasian security, and discussed cooperation and development topics such as jointly building the "the Belt and Road" initiative. The meeting discussed important factors affecting Eurasian security in terms of global and regional geopolitics, the framework of Eurasian economic integration, the interaction of international organizations in Eurasian space, and the strategic stability of nuclear weapons. Belarusian President Lukashenko sent a letter to the conference stating that the dialogue format adopted by the conference is more popular than ever before. Maintaining peace, resolving emerging differences through diplomatic means, and reducing confrontation, hostility, and hatred will provide guarantees for global sustainable development. Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov said at the opening ceremony that not considering Russia and Belarus' interests when establishing the European security system is a short-sighted behavior. He said that Russia "will not close the door to anyone", but the foundation of mutual cooperation is equality and honesty. Hungarian Foreign Minister Sijardo pointed out that the current Russia-Ukraine conflict and the Palestinian Israeli conflict have an impact on global security, and called on the parties concerned to avoid ideological conflicts and resume dialogue based on mutual respect, rationality and common sense. During the meeting, the participating experts shared the cooperation concept of jointly building the "the Belt and Road" initiative, and discussed the possibility of mutual integration and complementarity between the "the Belt and Road" initiative and national development projects. This conference is hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus, with over 300 political figures, experts and scholars from 30 countries attending. (New News Agency)
