The reporter learned from the University of Science and Technology of Macau that the Royal Astronomical Society of the UK has recently successfully held an international symposium for the launch of the "Macau Science 1" satellite in Burlington House, London. Numerous scientists from over 10 countries, including China, the United Kingdom, Italy, France, Germany, Finland, Austria, Denmark, Switzerland, the Czech Republic, and Argentina, attended the meeting, focusing on discussing the preliminary scientific achievements, future research plans, and international cooperation and exchange of the "Macau Science 1" satellite. This is the first time an important European scientific research institution has successfully held an international symposium specifically for China's space science satellite launch. On May 21 this year, China successfully launched the first space science satellite, "Macau Science 1," developed in cooperation between mainland China and Macau, using the Long March 2C carrier rocket at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. This project is jointly carried out by the National Space Administration and the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region. At this seminar, Zhang Keke, Chief Scientist of the "Macau Science One" satellite and Chief Designer of the "Macau Science One" satellite scientific application system, introduced the development process of the "Macau Science One" satellite. The members of the "Macau Science 1" satellite team reported on the preliminary important achievements made using the "Macau Science 1" satellite data. David Gabins, a member of the Royal Academy of Sciences, highly affirmed the important value and significance of the "Macau Science 1" satellite in the field of Earth's magnetic field and space science. Scientists from Austria, Denmark, the European Space Agency, and others have proposed important ideas and possible achievements regarding the application of scientific data from the "Macau Science 1" satellite. After the report meeting, the attending experts also conducted group discussions on five important topics. Zhang Keke told reporters that the holding of the "Macau Science 1" satellite international symposium has promoted international cooperation and exchange. (New News Agency)
