Release of 6G innovative achievements such as 6G network architecture and ultra dimensional antennas
2023-09-30
Recently, the 6G Collaborative Innovation Seminar (2023) jointly organized by Zhongguancun Panlian Mobile Communication Technology Innovation and Application Research Institute and National Key Laboratory of Wireless Mobile Communication (China Information Science and Technology) and other institutions was held in Beijing. 6G network architecture, ultra dimensional antennas, and other innovative achievements in 6G were successively released at the seminar. Wen Ku, the chairman of the China Communications Standardization Association, stated at the meeting that China is very concerned about the development of 6G and clearly wants to lay out cutting-edge 6G technology. The IMT20306G Promotion Group was established earlier to systematically organize 6G exploration and development work. Industry enterprises, universities, and research institutes in China have launched a 6G layout, starting from areas such as vision, potential technologies, and framework ideas, and have produced a batch of valuable research reports and innovative achievements. Recently, the International Telecommunication Union has completed a development framework that brings together a global consensus on the 6G vision, laying the foundation for the formation of future global unified standards for 6G. The research focus of 6G has gradually shifted from vision requirements to the stage of standard research and substantive exploration research. On September 26th, the 6G Collaborative Innovation Seminar (2023) was held in Beijing. At the meeting, Liu Guangyi, the chief expert of China Mobile Group, released the innovative achievements of the "6G Special Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology -6G Network Architecture and Key Technologies". In response to important trends such as the future development of mobile communication towards full scenario applications and ICDT integration, this project proposes a "three layer and six sided" network architecture plan for multi-dimensional capability integration, Realize the transformation of the service paradigm of "on-demand services" and the development goal of "everything is served (XaaS)". The launch of this research achievement provides important guidance for in-depth research on 6G network architecture. At the seminar, Sun Shaohui, the chief expert of China Information Technology Group, released the "Ultra Dimensional Antenna (E-MIMO) Technology Report". Through discussions and discussions around spatial dimensions, intelligence dimensions, functional dimensions, and energy efficiency dimensions, the report predicts the development potential of multi-antenna technology in future mobile communication systems from the perspectives of multi-antenna technology research, standardization, and industry promoters, and prospects its technological evolution direction. In addition, the seminar also showcased 8 latest research achievements and principle verification equipment for 6G, including distributed autonomous network technology and high-speed visible light communication. The attending experts believe that the successful holding of the seminar will further consolidate the development consensus of all sectors of the industry, stimulate innovation momentum, and contribute wisdom and strength to accelerate the construction of a strong online country and a digital China.
